February 11: Lois Donovan at Teachers’ Convention, Edmonton

On Friday, February 11, Lois Donovan, author of Winds of L’Acadie, will be presenting a workshop at the North Central Teachers’ Convention of Alberta at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. The workshop runs from 12:30 to 1:30.

“It’s not about perfection, it’s about practice. Writing is a complex process and sometimes we ask students to do assignments that we as teachers would find challenging. Discover activities and tips to motivate reluctant and enthusiastic writers while building skills. Whether you are a confident writer or as intimidated by writing as many of your students, this workshop will be useful and fun. Appropriate for Grades 4-9. Come prepared to write!”
