Ronsdale books by Trevor Marc Hughes:
Trevor’s freelance writing career took him across British Columbia on a motorcycle. He contributed many travel articles to magazines including Rider based out of California and Traverse based out of Queensland, Australia. He edited Hamilton Mack Laing’s account of his motorcycle journey across the continental U.S. in 1915. Riding the Continent (Ronsdale Press, 2019) was the result. Researching Laing’s expedition career and the accounts of the mountaineers involved brought him to author Capturing the Summit: Hamilton Mack Laing and the Mount Logan Expedition of 1925 (Ronsdale Press, 2023): a historical non-fiction title that combines adventure travel and a discussion of conservation into Laing’s and expedition members’ accounts of their involvement with the Mount Logan Expedition of 1925. Trevor is also a filmmaker and has made The Young Hustler, a film about his grandfather’s days operating a tugboat on the North Arm of the Fraser. Since February 2023, Trevor has been producing video interview segments for The British Columbia Review’s YouTube Channel. He is also the interim non-fiction editor for The British Columbia Review and is proud to be working alongside publisher Richard Mackie and fiction editor Brett Josef Grubisic.
